Our work is invariably imbued with the thought that we don’t necessarily have to be the voice for the voiceless, we should just be able to pass the mic. The children should not be needing the society to speak for them, they should much rather have the barriers, that stop them from speaking, to be reduced.

That’s it.With this simple thought our footprints have made an impact across the country, primarily in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. By targeting these areas we hope to empower and enable these communities to stand up for their own and children’s rights to health, education, protection, and development, and to overcome their relegation to the margins of the society.

We approach development in a way that is holistic, targeted, and local. We have started with a narrow geographic scope so that we become deeply involved in the communities we work with. Since we are keenly interested to work with truly deprived, vulnerable and forgotten communities (especially children) across underprivileged areas, we will soon be connecting

Our spirit lies in the growth of our children today and the wellbeing of the Indian civil society tomorrow. To us, the end of educational inequity is the freedom for all children to have the opportunity to reach their potential. And the day that all children reach their potential is the day that we, the society, will reach its potential.

Ek Kadam Aur believes that day will surely see the day of light and furthermore this will take a movement of leaders from the communities all around the globe with the idealism, belief, skills and commitment to actualise this vision. We are committed to find, develop and support the world’s
brightest and most promising leaders for this to happen and are also working to bring these leaders to students with the help of Virtual Classes.
So far we have successfully established a Virtual Classroom at Ram Krishna High School in Sitanagaram, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The project to connect Ram Krishna High School in Vishakhapatnam to their branch in Sitanagaram is underway and once implemented it will allow an e-faculty’s lecture delivered simultaneously in two schools.

How often have you though that all children should have the opportunity get access to health care that isn’t just a drudgery to be endured but an experience that makes them feel secured and gives them the support to take on life?
How often have you felt that the need of the hour is to share knowledge around the importance of cleanliness at homes, neighbourhoods and villages? That it is imperative democratise the concept of good health for all in families and to eliminate the concept of healthcare gender bias?
Ek Kadam Aur strives to make this dream a reality. To begin with, we have provided health, dental, and eye check-ups to all the residents of village Jhavar Ka Purva which lies in the Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh.
