HEALTHCARE ACTIVITIES
Public health education
Holistic development of any child or adult is incomplete without good health. The Ek Kadam Aur Foundation seeks to provide healthcare services to select rural communities while also educating them on hygiene and health practices. The Foundation organizes health camps in the villages where its sponsored Primary Schools are located. A few hundred people have received access to healthcare (medical, eye and dental) services. The camps are free of cost and undertaken with a motive to support good health and facilitate development in these areas. The Foundation pays for the cost of prescription glasses for people who cannot afford them. Medicines are made available through Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra.

Key features:
- Medical camps provide dental health, vision, and general health check-ups.
- Free medicines are provided to patients with a follow-up schedule created with their local doctors.
- Efforts are made to eliminate gender discrimination in quality of healthcare through counselling and awareness programs.
- Educate patients on hygiene practices such as hand washing and brushing technique with the help of a video and physical demonstration. Encourage school children to demonstrate cleanliness to parents, neighbours, and community leaders.
- A few hundred patients benefit from these camps every year.
